Yusof Abdul-Rahman
Yusof has over 20 years of news industry experience and he remains a perpetual student of storytelling in all its increasingly multi-faceted forms and the ways that people consume information. He takes a special interest in the way technological innovation affects social behaviour at large. He has worked in a variety of roles from strategy and editorial consulting at a national news agency going through convergence and digital transformation to a WhatsApp funded project looking into misinformation in the closed messaging space. He has led a number of workshops for an international cohort covering matters of climate reporting, media literacy and fact checking. During the pandemic, he helped design and taught as a tutor in the Masters Journalism course at Falmouth University. Yusof continues to work in news as a freelance editor and videographer. Previously a senior international news editor at the Associated Press in a career focused on visual storytelling, multi-platform digital content, breaking news and live coverage for a global market. He lives in the UK and has worked mostly in Europe and Asia thriving in an environment that requires cross-cultural communication.
